At a moment when the world is in conflict, Pope Leo XIV has issued a clear and prophetic call: choose peace.

Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin has warned that the “logic of the strongest” is taking hold in global affairs — where power, not justice, dictates outcomes. In this dangerous moment, he reminds us that the Holy Father’s voice, though courageous,  risks becoming “a voice crying in the wilderness” if it is not supported by the faithful.

This is not just a geopolitical issue. It is a moral test.

As Christians, we are called to defend the dignity of every human person and to resist the normalization of war. The people of Iran — families, children, the vulnerable — will bear the cost of silence.

On April 11, Pope Leo XIV will gather the faithful in St. Peter’s Basilica to pray for peace. But prayer must be matched with witness.

We are asking: Where are the voices of America’s Catholic leaders?

Bishop Barron? Cardinal Dolan?

Now is the time for Cardinals, Bishops, and all clergy in the United States to stand publicly with Pope Leo XIV — to boldly reject war and proclaim peace.

Silence is not neutrality. It is complicity.

Join us in urging America’s Catholic leaders to stand with Pope Leo XIV.

The Vulnerable People Project’s mission is to defend the vulnerable from violence by promoting human dignity and inspiring solidarity.

Pope Leo XIV is calling the world to reject war in Iran, but he cannot stand alone. It’s time for the Church in America to rise in unity and courage.
